Official?
Our officials are certified (by a class)
parent volunteers that are responsible for enforcing technical rules at our YMCA Dual, Invitational and Championship meets.
New officials are mentored by more experienced officials.
We need parents of swimmers of all
different levels and age to adequately staff all our meets throughout the
season.
Many of our current officials have swimmers in High School and have a wealth of
experience that they would like to share with newer officials. Official Clinics
are usually held in the beginning of the short course season but if you are
interested at anytime during the year, please contact the SHY Officials'
Coordinator.
