Official?
Our officials are trained parent
volunteers and officiate at our YMCA Dual, Invitational and Championship meets.
New officials are mentored by more experienced officials.
We need parents of younger swimmers as our Invitational Meets and Championship Meets include separate sessions for 8 & Under and 9/10 swimmers. Many of our officials have swimmers in High School and have a wealth of experience that they would like to share with newer officials and we need new blood to follow in their footsteps.
We need parents of swimmers with differing levels of experience as Somerset Hills YMCA has A and B dual meet teams that swim in different locations at the same time. Invitational Meets and Championship Meets are usually divided into Bronze, Silver and Gold Standard Meets.
